DIRC
The Disability Information and Referral Centre (DIRC) web site includes publications on disability advocacy and information consultations as well as a comprehensive access database for people with all types of disabilities.
Disability Central
An information source for people with a disability living in Central Australia, including carers and service providers.
Disability Forum
This site is a place where people can access and exchange information about 'stuff' that people with a myriad of disabilities would like to know.

Provides useful day to day information and forums for people with disabilities to sharing resources.
DisABILITY Info (Appell)
A caring comprehensive disabilities resource site developed by Linda Appell, that emphasises empowerment, equality and encouragement.
Disability Information Victoria (Australia)
A telephone and internet based information and referral service for people with disabilities, their families and friends, health professionals and other interested people.

An initiative of the Victorian Government's Department of Human Services, this site provides a range of up-to-date information on Australian disability issues, across the government and non government sectors.

People to People Committee on Disabilities
PPCD was created in 1956 under the leadership of President Dwight Eisenhower, who encouraged the establishment of people-to-people organizations reaching out internationally in the spirit of cooperation in areas of mutual interest. He declared that "creating understanding between peoples is a necessary way to build the road to enduring peace", which he described as, "the most worthwhile purpose in the world."

A useful reference web site for disability information and resources - includes info sheets on a wide range of topics as well as a message board and section for current issues.
Queensland Health News & Events Guide
This section of the Queensland Health web site includes links to the Health Matters newsletter and a useful calendar of health-related events and awareness days/weeks for 1999 - 2000.
Respite West
The site includes a news page, library, service seeker (for location of respite facilities), information pages, and message board for the Western Metropolitan Region of Melbourne, Victoria.
Safeplace
Provides education and a national resource library of information about sexual abuse, domestic violence and caregiver abuse to children and adults with disabilities in America.
Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Center
Resources, and assistance for people with spinal cord injuries and their families. Describes major causes of SCI and common therapies.
Seeing Disabilities from a Different Perspective
An award winning web site designed by 4th and 5th year students at Sherwood Elementary School, USA.  This site offers a chance for kids and adults to hear the student's perspectives on being at school with kids that have disabilities.  Includes lots of information for kids on aspects of autism, blindness, cerebral palsy and deafness.
Standards Australia Online
Contains information on approved and draft Standards for people with disabilities, as well as discussion papers on selected topics (such as building access and lifts).  There is also an internationally oriented web site at www.isostandards.com.au.

TT Driver Training

World Association of Persons with a Disability
